Situation

The village of Calstock sits within a world heritage site on the edge of the Tamar. The village has its own mooring facilities and quay, making it popular with sailing enthusiasts. There are many walks along the Tamar valley finishing at one of two village pubs, The Tamar Inn, a drinking pub and The Boot, a food oriented establishment. The village has its own train station too that has regular services to Plymouth and is within an easy walk from the plots.

There is a full range of sporting facilities in the area too including the Country Club of St. Mellion, 3 miles away, with its famous golf course.

The age of the village residents is evenly spread from those attending the primary school to those settling into retirement. There are few second homes here and as a result the village is active throughout the year. The village has a primary school and a school bus service to Callingtom Comprehensive School.

Plymouth City Centre is approximately half an hour by rail and 20 miles by road. A bus service runs to Tavistock and Callington with easy access to both Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor.

The neighbouring town of Callington has a good range of shopping facilities, including a Tesco supermarket, primary school, comprehensive schools, banks and independent shops in the main street, as well as a modern health centre.
