Are you looking for a charming detached cottage in a peaceful spot, with amazing views and nestled in the South Devon countryside?
Magnolia Cottage was built in 2005 by the previous owner of Radfords Hotel (no longer a hotel, now just run as a family home) for himself and his family to live in. So the cottage looks old, like the neighbouring properties but it is modern both inside and out with plenty of beautiful real oak floors and doors.
The property is approached via a driveway shared with only two neighbouring properties. The main garden is very pretty and to the front with a beautiful Magnolia Tree taking pride of place (hence the name) and there is a small but useable private courtyard at the rear. Also included is a section of land next to the garage which currently sights a greenhouse. The current owners are in the process of transferring the raised lawn area opposite Magnolia Cottage and a storage room behind the garage onto the property title. The views from the front are over the nearby rolling valley which are stunning, a real feature for the property and can be enjoyed from the majority of the cottage's windows.
Once inside you will be greeted with a lovely farmhouse-style kitchen/breakfast room with windows over-looking the rear courtyard and front garden and provides access into the handy utility room. The sitting room again enjoys the views over the front garden and leads through to what the owner has used as a formal dining room but as it has a shower room attached, it could easily be used as a guest bedroom or home office. There are double patio doors leading out to the rear courtyard from here. On the ground floor there is also a Cloakroom with WC and several built-in storage cupboards. This is one of the big bonus' with this property, that it has plenty of storage, a rarity with modern homes!
The first floor offers three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The main bedroom having an en suite shower room and enjoying the most wonderful countryside views.
Going up onto the 3rd floor you will find another bedroom with its own en suite and again plenty of storage space. Perfect for a teenager to have as their own floor space or to use as a home office with stunning countryside views that can be enjoyed from your desk.
The property benefits from double glazed windows throughout and underfloor heating.
There is a single garage nearby and parking.
