Its excellent amenities include individual shops, restaurants and a well-regarded Primary school along with churches and Topsham’s popular open-air swimming pool, rugby club, bowls club and sailing club. Exeter Golf & Country Club is less than two miles distant. There is a frequent bus service and a very useful train link to Exeter City centre which is just 4 miles away and Exmouth which is around 6.5 miles away. The popular ‘Route 2’ bike path is a level, 16 mile route between Exmouth and Dawlish on the other side of the Exe Estuary.

Description

Located in the heart of Old Topsham, Higher Shapter Street is a delightful address surrounded by pretty period houses leading down to the river. Although Grade II Listed, this property is believed to have been largely re-built in the 1960's, and whilst making a lovely home, this is also an ideal 'lock and leave', being presented in good condition throughout. On the ground floor is a bedroom/study and a bathroom. The main living accommodation is on the first floor with a recently upgraded kitchen and open-plan living space with lovely views up the street and on the top floor are two further bedrooms, shower room and separate WC. From the main bedroom there are also views of the river. Although the house does not have any outside space, Hannaford's Quay, Oak slip and the Museum garden are a short walk away and from where it is possible to sit and overlook the river.
